Terms of Service

By accessing our app, ShortSync, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of service, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing ShortSync. The materials contained in ShortSync are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.

Permission is granted to use ShortSync for video publishing automation services subject to the following conditions. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

• modify, copy, or reverse engineer any part of the ShortSync platform;
• use the service to violate any social media platform's terms of service or community guidelines;
• attempt to decompile or reverse engineer any software contained in ShortSync;
• remove any copyright or other proprietary notations from the materials;
• transfer your account to another person without authorization; or
• use the service for uploading copyrighted content without proper authorization.

This license shall automatically terminate if you violate any of these restrictions and may be terminated by ShortSync at any time. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the service and any materials provided through ShortSync.

ShortSync is a video publishing automation platform that allows users to upload videos once and automatically distribute them across multiple social media platforms including YouTube Shorts, TikTok, Instagram Reels and Stories, Facebook Reels and Stories, Snapchat Spotlight and Public Stories, X (Twitter), Threads, and Bluesky. Users can schedule, manage, and track their video content from a single dashboard.

You are responsible for:

• Ensuring you have the right to publish any content you upload through ShortSync
• Complying with all applicable social media platform terms and community guidelines
• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• Any content published through your connected social media accounts
• Payment of any applicable fees for premium services

The materials within ShortSync are provided on an 'as is' basis. ShortSync makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

Further, ShortSync does not warrant or make any representations concerning the accuracy, likely results, or reliability of the use of the service or otherwise relating to such materials or on any sites linked to ShortSync.

ShortSync does not guarantee successful publication to all connected platforms and is not responsible for platform-specific technical issues or policy changes.

In no event shall ShortSync or its suppliers be liable for any damages exceeding the amount paid by the user for the service (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use ShortSync, even if ShortSync or an authorized representative has been notified orally or in writing of the possibility of such damage. Because some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties, or limitations of liability for consequential or incidental damages, these limitations may not apply to you.

• You retain ownership of all content you upload through ShortSync
• You grant ShortSync a limited license to process and distribute your content to your connected social media platforms
• You warrant that you have all necessary rights to the content you upload
• ShortSync reserves the right to remove content that violates these terms or applicable laws

• Premium features require payment as specified in our pricing plans
• All payments are processed securely through Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• Refunds are provided according to our refund policy
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice

ShortSync may offer an affiliate program that allows users to refer paid subscribers and earn a commission when eligible referred subscriptions are paid through ShortSync. Participation in the affiliate program is subject to these Terms and any additional rules shown on the affiliate program page or in the affiliate dashboard.

9.1 Commission Eligibility

Affiliate commissions are not guaranteed. A commission is only eligible to be paid if all of the following conditions are met:

• The referred user signed up using a valid affiliate referral link or referral code.
• The referral was tracked by ShortSync's attribution system before the user subscribed.
• The referred user purchased a paid Creator or Team subscription through ShortSync's standard checkout.
• The subscription payment is successful, settled, and not refunded, charged back, disputed, or reversed.
• The affiliate followed these Terms and did not engage in prohibited promotion.
• The affiliate is not the referred user, and the referral is not a self-referral.

Unless otherwise stated, the affiliate commission is 50% of each successful subscription payment made by the referred user during the first 12 months of their subscription, capped at €90 per referred customer. ShortSync may change affiliate commission rates, caps, attribution windows, hold periods, payout thresholds, or payout methods at any time for future referrals.

9.2 Attribution and Tracking

ShortSync uses referral links, referral codes, cookies, logged-in user identifiers, and other basic analytics data to attribute referrals. Attribution is determined solely by ShortSync's systems and records. We may reject or adjust attribution if tracking is missing, duplicated, manipulated, fraudulent, self-referred, or otherwise unreliable.

ShortSync uses a 30-day first-touch attribution window. If a referred user clicks an affiliate referral link and subscribes to a paid plan within 30 days, the sale is attributed to that affiliate. Free signups do not earn commission until the referred user converts to a paid plan, and only if the conversion occurs within the eligible commission period.

Clicks, signups, pending commissions, and projected earnings shown in the affiliate dashboard are informational estimates only. They are not payable commissions and do not create a right to payment unless and until ShortSync confirms that all eligibility requirements have been satisfied.

9.3 Payouts

Affiliate payouts are made monthly via Stripe once the affiliate's cleared commission balance reaches the €50 minimum payout threshold. Commissions are subject to a 30-day hold period after each successful subscription payment, during which time the payment must remain unrefunded and undisputed. ShortSync may require payout details, tax forms, identity verification, fraud review, or other information before paying any commission. ShortSync may delay, withhold, reduce, or void any commission if we believe the referral, transaction, payout details, or affiliate activity violates these Terms or creates legal, tax, compliance, fraud, or reputational risk.

Affiliates are responsible for all taxes, reporting obligations, bank fees, currency conversion fees, payment processor fees, and legal obligations associated with any affiliate payouts.

9.4 Prohibited Promotion

Affiliates must promote ShortSync ethically, accurately, and in a way that does not harm ShortSync, its users, or third parties. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

• Spam, mass unsolicited messages, low-quality cold emails, or automated outreach that violates applicable law or platform rules.
• Fake signups, fake accounts, fake clicks, click farms, bots, incentivized clicks, or artificial traffic.
• Misleading claims about ShortSync, its features, results, earnings, or any guarantees.
• Impersonating ShortSync, ShortSync employees, or any third party.
• Using ShortSync branding, logos, name, domain, screenshots, or trade dress in ads, landing pages, social profiles, emails, or domains without written permission.
• Bidding on, targeting, or purchasing ads for ShortSync brand terms, misspellings, domain names, or confusingly similar keywords.
• Registering domains, social handles, ads, or landing pages that imply they are owned, operated, endorsed, or approved by ShortSync.
• Coupon, cashback, toolbar, malware, forced redirect, cookie stuffing, iframe, pop-up, or browser-extension tactics.
• Scraping ShortSync, copying ShortSync content at scale, or republishing it in a misleading or unauthorized way.
• Contacting users in a harassing, deceptive, illegal, or abusive way.
• Self-referrals or referrals involving accounts the affiliate controls or is materially associated with. For example, you cannot create a second account, refer yourself, and collect a commission on your own subscription.

9.5 Suspension and Commission Forfeiture

ShortSync may approve, reject, suspend, disable, or terminate any affiliate account at any time. If an affiliate violates these Terms, ShortSync may void pending commissions, withhold unpaid commissions, remove tracking, disable referral links, revoke affiliate dashboard access, and remove the affiliate from the program. ShortSync's determination of affiliate eligibility, attribution, prohibited conduct, and payout status is final.

Affiliate commissions are paid only when the affiliate has followed these Terms and the referred subscription satisfies all eligibility requirements. Spam, ShortSync impersonation, ShortSync-branded ads, fake activity, or attempts to circumvent attribution can result in immediate suspension and forfeiture of commissions.

ShortSync integrates with third-party social media platforms and may contain links to external sites. ShortSync has not reviewed all linked sites and is not responsible for their contents. The inclusion of any link does not imply endorsement by ShortSync. Use of any such linked website is at the user's own risk.

ShortSync may revise these terms of service at any time without notice. By using ShortSync you are agreeing to be bound by the then current version of these terms of service.

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately, though these terms shall remain in effect regarding prior use.

Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be addressed through informal negotiations for a period of 30 days. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration in Helsinki, Finland, conducted in English, in accordance with Finnish law.

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Helsinki, Finland.

ShortSync integrates with third-party social media platforms to provide its video distribution services. By using ShortSync, you agree to be bound by the terms of service of each platform you connect, including but not limited to:

• YouTube Terms of Service
• TikTok Terms of Service
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram/Threads) Terms of Service
• Snapchat Terms of Service

You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms of service of each platform you use through ShortSync. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the terms of a third-party platform, the third-party platform's terms shall take precedence with respect to your use of that platform.
